Event Details:

The Royal Canadian Legion Community Candlelight Vigil, in advance of Remembrance Day 2024, will be held on Sunday, November 10th. Everyone is invited to attend and show their support and understanding of the sacrifices by our Veterans, Past and Present.

Those wishing to march from the Branch to the Cenotaph are asked to arrive at the Branch at 25 Park Street, by 6pm.

This year, as in the past, we will be supporting community waste reduction and recycling efforts by having LED tealight candles available at the Branch. All donations will go to the 2024 Poppy Campaign.

At 6:45pm, once everyone has their candle, we will form up and follow our Legion Colour Party to Memorial Park, on Main Street, for a short service which includes the palcement of the candles on the cenotaph.

After the service everyone is welcome to return to the branch where refreshments and snacks will be available. Hope to see you there.
