Family Day Fun Time is the joyful finale of Hibernate — a free, all-ages celebration designed especially for kids, parents, grandparents, and anyone who wants to play, move, and laugh together. Taking place on Family Day Monday at the Port Hope Lions Centre, the afternoon brings together music, movement, and hands-on activities in one welcoming space. The program includes a high-energy Family Dance Party with DJ Jasper, a pop-up choir led by S.O.N.G., and accessible folk dancing that invites everyone to jump in — no experience required. Live music from the West End Riverboat Band adds to the sense of celebration, blending New Orleans-inspired rhythms and plenty of room to dance. Alongside the music, families can enjoy crafts, games, sledding, s’mores, coffee and treats by Latte Da Mobile Coffee and other simple winter pleasures.

Family Day Fun Time is about creating space -  space for kids to move freely, for adults to slow down, and for families to make memories together. It’s playful, welcoming, and a reminder that community gatherings don’t have to be complicated to be meaningful.
