You heard her brilliant sax playing in Joe Sealy's Africville at Westben in 2024. Now she's back with her own sextet! JUNO nominee and multiple Maple Blues "Horn Player of the Year" winner, Alison Young's sextet plays an energetic, soulful, New Orleans-flavoured combo of hard bop, soul jazz, and old school rhythm & blues. Alison brings an all star band of Toronto's best musicians, playing a mix of her originals and arrangements of standards.
